Our mission

To train the Chilean population in the immediate recognition and control of life-threatening hemorrhages, providing practical, accessible, and evidence-based tools, with the goal of reducing preventable deaths before the arrival of emergency services.

Vision

To be a national benchmark in community training for hemorrhage control, consolidating a network of instructors, institutions, and citizens prepared to act quickly, efficiently, and confidently in any emergency involving critical bleeding. We want a Chile where everyone is prepared to save a life.

About us

Stop the Bleed Chile is an initiative created with the goal of saving lives through education, providing ordinary people and healthcare professionals with the tools necessary to control severe bleeding before emergency services arrive.

We are part of the international Stop the Bleed campaign, promoted by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and adapted to the national situation, with the support of certified instructors, medical professionals, and training centers such as the Emergency and Rescue Training Center (ERTC).


What do we do?

We train citizens, public officials, healthcare personnel, teachers, and workers throughout Chile in simple, rapid, and effective techniques to stop life-threatening bleeding, such as compression, wound packing, and tourniquet use.

Why do we do it?

Because a hemorrhage doesn't wait, and because we believe that every person can be a first responder. Our commitment is to bring this vital knowledge to every corner of the country, promoting a culture of immediate and supportive response to traumatic emergencies.
